and she was wild like poppies into rain
I met a girl that didn't want to be tamed
she liked to walk free
she liked books and coffee
your messy hair in the morning
to touch and feel the colors
to cover into black and then laugh
God, what a laugh she had
the trees trembled and the down river knew
she was beautiful like winter into freezy hands
she was untamed and hated everything that couldn't bare
your eyes she loved but yet the light bites her shoulders
she laughs and turns her head
the small dimple into her right cheek you kissed
smiles
it's almost quiet
quiet enough to take her hand and run
bare feet
into the river across
forgiveness.
